Write your prompt
Subject, action, setting, one camera move and sound – or upload a photo for image-to-video.

You see the credit cost before you generate. Failed generations are refunded automatically.

Is Kling AI free?

Partly. Kling AI (kling.ai) has a free plan that hands out a small amount of credits every day; 2026 guides report about 66 daily credits that expire if you don't use them. Those credits are enough for a few short standard-quality clips, while the newest models, higher resolution, longer clips and watermark-free downloads are tied to paid plans – check kling.ai for the current rules, they change often. GenModelHub is independent and not affiliated with Kling or Kuaishou. It is a second free option: you get free credits to start and can run other leading models, so you are not stuck waiting for tomorrow's refill.

How to use Kling AI for free

Sign in at kling.ai, collect the daily free credits and spend them on short clips in standard mode. Write and test your prompt on a cheap model first so the free credits go to a prompt that already works. Free generations can wait in a queue at busy times, so plan ahead. For a deadline, keep a second generator with free credits ready – that is what this page is for.

What the Kling free plan doesn't cover

Free users generally get lower priority, watermarked downloads and limited access to the newest Kling versions and high-quality modes. Unused daily credits don't roll over. If you need several attempts at one shot, the daily allowance runs out quickly.

Free alternative: Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1 and MiniMax H3

Here you choose the model per clip. Seedance 2.5 (ByteDance) is strong for cinematic motion with generated sound; Veo 3.1 (Google) for people talking on screen; MiniMax H3 and Seedance 2 Mini for cheap drafts at 10 credits per 5 seconds. Seedance 2.5 costs 10 credits per second. No subscription is required – one-time packs start at $4.9.

Kling AI free vs paying per clip

Kling's free plan is good for trying things out; its paid plans are monthly subscriptions. If you only make a few videos a month, paying per clip from a one-time pack can cost less than a subscription you don't use up. Compare the cost of the clips you actually make, not the headline credit number.

Frequently asked questions
